Award-winning Sussex theatre company bring their latest show, “The Seagull and the Cat”, to Crowborough Community Centre in April.
Zorba the cat finds himself making three promises to a dying seagull who has been caught in an oil slick – including teaching her chick to fly. How will he manage it? But nothing is impossible when you have good friends, wise enough to help you discover your true self at just the right moment and so… learn to fly.
A fantastic treat for all the family, “The Seagull and the Cat” is the company’s own adaptation of a much-loved story by Chilean-born author Luis Sepúlveda. Directed by Vasile Nedelcu (National Theatre of Brussels, Brasov International Festival), it has original music by David Brett (a founder member of The Flying Pickets a capella singing group), and costumes designed by Anca Albani (The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company, National Theatre of Bucharest).
70 minutes long with no interval and suitable for all ages.
