The Crowborough Chamber of Commerce annual Business Expo held on 16th April was, as usual, an enormous success. With a room full of exhibitors and visitors, the day was busy with many new contacts made and greetings to business associates old and new. Councillor Matthew Street, Town Mayor of Crowborough, kindly opened the event and spoke to many of the local businesses. Once again Ashdown Radio broadcast live from the event and presenter Peter Suter invited exhibitors on the air to discuss and promote their business.
On 4th July, the Chamber’s new look will be launched – we have refreshed the brand to reflect our ambitious plans and growing membership and will have a dynamic new website with more functionality, making it easy for the members to get the most from their Chamber membership and easy online joining for new and prospective members.
In addition to our regular members meetings, the Chamber hold a range of networking events and our popular early morning breakfast meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at Crowborough Beacon Golf Club. The networking meetings are open to non-members, and we welcome local businesses to come along. The Chamber’s events are relaxed, no pressure events designed to allow businesses the chance to promote themselves and services to local companies as well as socialise with others in an informal atmosphere.
Throughout 2024 the Chamber will continue to promote the commercial and general interests of businesses in Crowborough, making representation to local government, statutory bodies and consultative panels and providing networking and growth opportunities to business. If you are a local business, charity, organisation, or group and would be interested in joining the Chamber then please visit our website for details regarding membership.
