Photos of Crowborough Miniature Railway and trains

During the last ten years,  the Crowborough Miniature Railway has invested a considerable sum of money and effort to build a dream extension to their original oval track.

The original track was laid when the railway began in 1989 and popularity has increased ever since.

The magic of steam lives on since the Reverend Wilbert Awdry wrote the Thomas the Tank Engine books.

There are few opportunities these days for youngsters of all ages to dabble in Science, History and Engineering as a hobby.  If you would like to come along on a Saturday afternoon and help run our railway,  you would be most welcome.  If you have any questions, give me call on 01892 669004.

We operate from 2pm to 5pm every Saturday from Good Friday until Firework Night at the Goldsmiths Recreation Ground, but maintenance work continues throughout the year on Saturday afternoons and Wednesday mornings.  Youngsters of all ages are welcome.

With thanks to our Town Council, we have a superb boating lake in the centre of the track to encourage anyone to be creative and build a boat.  If you need any encouragement, the Crowborough Model Boat Club meet at the Crowborough Community Centre on the first Monday of each month at 7.30pm (excl. Bank Holidays).  An informal boating meet is held on Saturday afternoons from 2pm.
