Crowborough Community Centre opened in 2012, following the hard work of charitable organisation Crowborough Community Association (CCA). The not-for-profit Community Centre is still owned and maintained by CCA. The Centre is self-supporting, with the income from room hire and fundraising events going straight back into the running of this fabulous community space.
Centre Manager, Kirsty Cairney, is excited for all the events that will soon be taking place as the Centre recovers from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. “Our diary is getting fantastically busy. Over the coming months we have markets, quiz nights, birthday parties and so many other fun activities. We are collaborating on a fundraising event with The Crowborough Players, who hold their Spring Production and Christmas Pantomime with us each year. It will be a fun quiz night, hosted at the Centre on Friday 3rd March. It’s great to see the community’s enthusiasm for their community centre.”
You can find a variety of spaces to hire, and activities to join, at Crowborough Community Centre which is situation on Pine Grove – behind the library. Boasting a beautiful main hall, the Centre is a great venue for all sorts of functions. The main hall has professional lighting and sound systems to create just the right mood for your event. This delightful space has a lot of natural light and the overhead beams add a wonderfully traditional feel to the venue. Ideal for birthday parties, special events, lectures, music events, theatre performances and so much more!
The Centre also has three meeting rooms, varying in size to cover everything from 1:1 meetings to lectures of up to 100. In addition there is a specially designed dance studio. The air-conditioned studio has floor to ceiling mirrors, bars and specialist dance floor, making it the perfect space for teaching dance or other exercise classes.
