After 12 years as President of the Crowborough Chamber of Commerce, Jeremy Woolger handed over the Presidency to Louise Sinclair of Florence Mortgages. Jeremy formed the Chamber initially to promote and protect the commercial, retail, professional and general interests of all business sectors in Crowborough. Through his hard work and dedication, the Chamber has successfully grown to be an important factor in raising the business profile in Crowborough. On behalf of all the members and local businesses, we thank Jeremy for his contribution in promoting the local business economy and supporting the local community.
Louise trained and qualified as a mortgage adviser in 2013 and, having achieved her goals in employment, launched her own business; Florence Mortgages in July 2017, advising on mortgages and protection insurance. The business flourished and in 2020 her partner John joined her as a co-adviser. Louise has lived in the Crowborough area since 2002 and is an active member of the local business community. Louise enjoys regular visits to Ashdown Forest and she sings with Crowborough Choral Society.
The Chamber will be holding a range of networking events and meetings, including regular breakfast meeting networking meetings and quarterly evening events at a range of venues. The Chamber’s events are relaxed, no pressure events designed to allow businesses the chance to promote themselves and services to other companies as well as socialise with others in an informal atmosphere. Non-members are welcome to attend for a £5 fee.
