Owen Hearing in Croft Road, Crowborough, is an established hearing care business that, due to growth, moved to it’s own premises in 2023. It now has a dedicated centre with two consultation rooms and the latest technology to help with all of your hearing needs.
Established by James Owen in 2009, it also now has branches in West Wickham and Canterbury city centre.
We specialise in all makes of private hearing aids from Audibel, Oticon, Widex, GNResound, Starkey, Unitron and many others. Being independent, we can make the correct recommendations depending on our clients’ needs.
We also offer Wax Removal by microsuction with very short waiting times. This has become a key part of the business as people are finding it difficult to get appointments elsewhere.
Between all of our Hearing Aid Audiologists, we have many years of experience and can provide the very latest in technology. Hearing aids can be as simple or as advanced as the client requires – from devices that fit deep in the ear and can be easily forgotten about, to aids that connect to smartphones, televisions or laptop computers.
The purpose of connecting hearing systems to smartphones is so clients can have their calls streamed directly into their ears. They also have an app that allows full control of the hearing aids – adjusting volume, and even using Artificial Intelligence to pick out speech over other noise.
Over the years, hearing aids have become small computers worn on the ears, with very fast processing power that delivers much more natural amplification.
The supply of hearing instruments always comes with a lifetime of after-care from Owen Hearing. We like to see our clients regularly, so we can keep the instruments clean and ensure that if the client’s hearing deteriorates further, the aids continue to provide the correct amplification at each frequency for their needs.
