Members of the newly formed Crowborough Rotary Club

Graham Bucksey, a Building Services Engineer who lives in Crowborough, joined forces with Funeral Director, Stephen Tester, to bring a brand-new Rotary Club to Crowborough.

“Stephen and I were members of the previous Rotary Club in Crowborough which sadly closed at the end of 2016”.

Graham explains “We got chatting and realised we both missed being Rotary members and helping our local community so we launched the Rotary Club for Crowborough at an initial meeting on the 7th April 2021 on Zoom”.

The new Crowborough Rotary Club is based on a new, less formal model dispensing with dining and is very much a club for everyone, with meetings being held for around 75 minutes in the Crowborough Oasis Centre on Beacon Road.

The Rotary Club of Crowborough has now recruited 18 fully committed members – 10 Ladies and 8 men of varying ages from early thirties to mid-seventies.

We are supporting the local dementia forum, the Crowborough Food Bank and the Rotary Shoebox Scheme.

We have a charity events programme for 2022 including a lady’s fashion show in March, a golf day in June, and a quiz night in November.

Please have a look at our website which tells you more about the new Crowborough Rotary Club and how you may like to be involved.

We have a lot of highly motivated and forward looking members in our club and are looking forward to a bright and active future supporting and helping Crowborough and the surrounding communities.
